BROADVIEW, Ill. – State Rep. Chris Welch, D–Hillside, will listen to constituents and provide an update on his work in Springfield at a town hall meeting at the Broadview Village Hall this Saturday, May 4 at 3 p.m.
“Listening to the residents of the 7th District is the best way for me to make their voices heard in Springfield,” Welch said. “The Legislature is facing a number of important issues, and everyone should have a seat at the table so that we can begin to address the challenges facing the state, and lay the groundwork for future progress. I encourage everyone in the Broadview area to attend and provide their feedback. Hearing from the people I represent helps me make the best decisions for our community and our state.”
The town hall meeting will be held at the Broadview Village Hall, 2350 S. 25th Ave. in Broadview. Welch will also host town hall meetings at the River Forest Public Library, 735 Lathrop Ave. in River Forest, on May 11 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and at the Bellwood Village Hall, 3200 Washington Blvd. in Bellwood, on May 18 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Welch has sponsored a number of town hall meeting throughout his district and encourages residents who are unable to attend to contact his full-time constituent service office to share their thoughts.
