FOREST PARK, IL – In efforts to connect seniors with local service providers and information, State Rep. Chris Welch (D - Hillside) encourages residents to attend his Senior Services Fair Saturday, October 5 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Proviso Township High School, located at 8601 W. Roosevelt Rd.in Forest Park.
“I encourage seniors to come out and enjoy this fun an informative event for easy access to vendors, state services and information on how to stay healthy and save money,” Welch said. “This event is a free and provides an opportunity for older adults to connect with friends and local seniors and obtain useful information that could help improves their daily lives.”
The event will provide free health screenings and information on senior programs and local resources, free food, prizes and more. Participants include the offices of Attorney General Lisa Madigan, Secretary of State Jesse
White, Treasurer Dan Rutherford, the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs and the Department of Aging.
