WESTCHESTER, Ill. – State Rep. Chris Welch, D-Hillside, on Tuesday received the high honor of being named to John Marshall Law School’s Hall of Distinction.

“I am honored and humbled to receive this recognition and would like to thank the Board of Trustees for bestowing upon me this great honor,” Welch said. “The opportunities provided to me at John Marshall helped me to excel in my personal and professional life and now allow me to work to improve the quality of life for Illinois residents as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives.”

Welch joined with the 64 other inductees, including several colleagues in the General Assembly, for a rededicating ribbon cutting ceremony of the Hall of Distinction on Tuesday, Oct. 6. The prestigious honor has only been awarded to 343 John Marshall Law School graduates.
